In a few short minutes, the narrator slathers this documentary of Frederick’s Of Hollywood with a sticky patina of sleaze. Frederick Mellinger’s decadent department store may be to Victoria’s Secret what Depends are to crotchless panties, but it’s still a great place to visit and has been since 1947.

Actually, it’s much hipper than Victoria’s Secret. I just had to slip that Depends thing in.
 

Ahhh! A blast from the past. I remember being a little kid and looking at my aunt’s catalog with my eyes popped out. When we got older we would laugh at the blow up bras and girdles. Great entertainment.

A real little trip down Memory Lane!  My aunt hid these between the mattresses so us children wouldn’t find, which of course we did. And those Fredericks catalogues were the ONLY material I ever saw re: dressed, undressed sexy clothes, whatever…...I remember thinking “wow, this is some wild stuff”!!!  Who could have guessed what would take place in the world re: EXPOSURE?!

I remember my “quaker” Mother had the Fredrick’s catalog and would make patterns for her own cloths using the details from the style shown in the pages . . . . I loved looking at the pages, wondering and learning a whole bunch!
