Tara and I got a new puppy today. Meet Winslow. Or Tong Tong. We can’t decide what to call him. Help us decide between the two names.

We were going to call him Gorby, but that mark on his forehead faded away already so that name wouldn’t make any sense.

He’s been in our lives exactly 3 hours now and we are totally smitten with him. He is only eight-weeks old. He’s an overdose of cute and he hops like a frog. But we can’t decide on what to call him. We’ve narrowed it down to two names:Winslow and Tong Tong. Which do you like better? Tell us in the comments.

(Here is a picture of his “older brother” (AKA our other dog Paul AKA “Jude Law” (don’t ask). Paul has been amazing so far, super sweet. He’s been king of the hill (a super-spoiled pooch he is) for seven years now, so this could have come as a shock. So far so great. He even brought in his toys and laid them down next to Winslow/Tong Tong. How cute is that? Maybe he was just trying to con me into giving him lots of treats, but it sure worked.)

Tong Tong is fun to say and he will never confuse it with “window”

I was so taken with looking at the photos that I missed the text. Then I read the comments and couldn’t figure out where these people were getting those names. It seemed so random yet specific.

Anyway, Winslow. Definitely Winslow.

If I have to pick one of the two names, I choose Winslow, although my first instinct was to call him Waffles.

All i know is that my girlfriend and I once received two chickens from a bald, adulterous Croatian man and were faced with a similar dilemma.

I called mine Louis Ferdinand Celine the Man of Hate. My girlfriend called hers Hattie. Both were eaten by a fox.

The point of the story is this - I hope your dog is not eaten by a fox.

How big and crazy he supposed to get? A little guy is a Tong Tong, a chill 50 pounder is a Winslow.

Why can’t he have both names? Tong Tong as his baby name and Winslow for when he goes to college or when you want to let him know he’s really in trouble when you yell at him. Not that he’d ever get in trouble, really, I mean, look at that precious little angel!

Tong tong, because double chinese names are terms of endearment.

As names suggest by you are Winslow or Tom-Tom.I definitely go with the Winslow the meaning of these is the Hill of Victory.

Though it looks like the Winslow’s have it, the best pet name I have heard recently is Burzum for a black and white cat. But as this wee fella’s not a black and white cat it wouldn’t suit him.
