Truth in Power.
Is the one on the right also touched up though? I can’t imagine Madge going to a photo shoot with a moustache and such lousy make-up.
Where did the original come from and where the the Photoshopped one appear?

Cool, except ‘type’ is spelt wrong on the cream tub. I guess Photoshop can’t fix everything!
I don’t see how/why anyone is surprised. Like it’s some sort of shock Photoshop is used. Either way, for her age, she looks great. The left side is over-edited and the right it so close up that anyone would look like crap that close.
Anyway, who cares. Madonna is still a badass.
Great job on the retouching…but why is the photoshop work on the left? Doesn’t everyone think “before and after”? And if the photoshop work was on the right, it would be the correct hook to the cream jar. Just sayin’.
This is an EXCELLENT example of today’s discussion. The unfortunate thing with photo manipulation in today’s society is that it is mostly done on women in the public eye (celebs, socialites, etc.), and such “icons” (if you will) are who America’s female teen/pre-teen youth adore and admire. These young, naive youth have this idea of perfection that has been embedded in their minds by such images that the mass media pushes out on us, when in fact, these images are all lies. So, I’d say that it’s pretty safe to say that the majority of the disorders, complexes, etc., that America’s impressionable youth have baring down on them are brought on by this false image of what the ideal woman should look like.
@Elizabeth
are you crazy
I agree with Christina from May 24, 2010.
She would never have let this be published. I think it is not real because they could not do it without her permission.
I totally agree that there are touch ups in ads we see on TV etc and that is not real and it hurts the self esteem of women.
But it is not nice to her if she trusted someone to take her picture and the unflattering one is shown. If someone agrees than fine put it out there but if not that is not really nice of them… IMO.
PEople are not nice to put this out there and mock it. What is happening to this world.
The picture on the right doesn’t look that bad, really. Most of us get a few lines around the eyes and mouth at a certain age and the skin dulls a bit. This might even be a total fake. But there is that Madonna bashing, maybe because she doesn’t dress how most people envision a 50-some-year-old woman would dress. And that stuff is photoshopped isn’t really so shocking, is it? And can you blame her if she does want her pic fixed up a bit? I know I would want it for myself!
Not only is the makeup completely different, explain to me how this “magical cream” turned one of her eyes blue?
Christian, if that’s a serious question, I’ll give you a serious answer. Photoshop is a photo editing program. There is no magical cream.
If your question was tongue-in-cheek, I’m too dense to get the joke! =)
Christian says:
explain to me how this “magical cream” turned one of her eyes blue?
And the answer is:
That´s the power of “miracle creams” . Don´t you know how miracles works? They naturally break the boundarys of logic.
I suppose most of the questions above could be addressed to the artist, whose blogspot address is on the image. =)
