What is this punk thing?
Let’s see- Rollins went from an abused child earning minimum wage scooping ice cream, to globetrotting public speaker, successful independent musician, head of a publishing house, and renowned author, not to mention tv presenter. He is also a charismatic adonis who sleeps with tons of beautiful women. Pfft, what a loser!
As for Ian, what else has he done? I mean besides running his own band and successful record label? What a nobody!
Well, ^that^ was embarrassing.
This photo was taken at Fort Reno Park in Washington, DC at an Evens show, I think August 5th this summer.
Exhausting
Damn kids, get off my lawn!
I think Punks Not Dad have something to add to that.

Dammit, Henry… are you posting in here again?
Whenever I see these two in photos together I’ll always refer to them as, “Grumpy Old Men”.
Getting old ain’t for sissies, and it helps to get to bed early when you have to get up and pee several times during the night…
Use less shampoo, kind that has “no more tears” right on the bottle.
But those two are hardcore so i think were fine.
Er, Mi-i-ike, who was calling them losers, exactly? Nobody. Calm thyself.
@Don: Evens are so good..
Rollins will still kick your ass
Rollins is now the voice on all the Chevy commercials here in the U.S.
I love when subversive types become ‘accepted’ by The Man and make tons of cash. Seriously. I dig it.
I also love when a lesser known band/musician I like gets their music in a commercial. Good for them, I say. Money helps them continue to make music I like.
Rollins and Chevy can blow me.
Not Chevy, Infiniti: http://blogs.cars.com/kickingtires/2011/08/henry-rollins-infinitis-hardcore-voiceover-man.html
Having grown up in the affluent suburbs of DC, and experiencing the type of classism immortalized by the Outsiders, I will always look up to Henry and Ian. Yes Ian got longwinded with his Straight Edge no slam dancing agenda, but he gave a voice to thousands of kids who had none. Henry, whom I met at a movie theatre in Springfield, VA, also gave a sence of ownership to we who were cast out or chose to be out cast.
We age!!! We learn!!! We grow the fuck up. They have mouths to feed, and how is punk every synonymous with broke? Ian still host $5 dollar concerts in DC. He is far from wealthy, but I hope at least comfortable. These men need to retire one day. I hope they do so well healed.

“Straight Outa Reston”
OOPS!!

@Greg R,
Rollins and Infiniti can blow me.
Or have a cup of coffee. Whichever comes first.
@Greg R.
Wow. I coulda sworn it was Rollins’ voice on the Chevy truck commercials. Not the cars, just the trucks. Take a listen next time one is on. I guess it’s not him but it’s a pretty spot on soundalike
I never recognized him on the Infiniti and I pride myself on being able to pick up on those things - I’m crushed.
Do they make Grecian Formula in a pillbox red?
