A new and as-always fun and functional project from New Orleans genius musician/inventor, Quintron. It’s really a beautiful idea, especially the rain drop trigger. In my perfect parallel universe every home would come equipped with this set of devices.

Perty damn fantastic!
I heard a snippet on NPR-(ATC) about a sound artist that used the ambient sounds of a large abandoned building (in Detroit??) as raw sound that were combined and altered by visitors to the site: you “played” the building by combining various old building sounds.  The plumbing, heating system, window frames, steel girders, etc. had contact mics, plus regular analog mics that picked up ambient noise like the wind thru busted windows, and the reverb from empty rooms.  Sorry to be so vague, but I came in halfway thru the story, and it wasn’t repeated.  But the sound was awesome!
This is too—very different setups, but related conceptions.  I wonder if there’s any connection.

I love reading your blog, always very informative. It’s a great sense of
achievement when you apply something you’ve learned to a real life situation.
Well Done.
