That’s cool, but I gotta ask - did he only pick-up costumers, or people in general?
@Macblow I know, I know. It’s been corrected. I used to be stylist on shoots and I’m so damn used to writing the word “costume.”
Back circa 1980 me and my friends subwayed it up to 8th avenue in the upper 40s to see a 3rd-run showing of Taxi Driver. During his “dogs, the filth, the scum” monolog while he’s driving in the more nefarious areas there was some nervous laughter as we noted he was driving by the theater in which we were all sitting.
OK, but to really get into that particular character, I think he would have to do a lot more than just drive a cab for a while. Like, maybe take a lot of speed and not sleep for several days, stalk random women, stare at himself in the mirror for hours, argue with some pimps, etc.
Which reminds me, I could really go for a little piece of chicken right about now.

“And if I get the chance, I’ll fuck up your life. Mr. Cle-e-ean…”
Weller? More like Jeff Buckley, I think.
Hey Sport, How’s everything in the pimping business?
