This is for the person that calls himself ‘dumb ass’. These women have mothers and sisters, and have themselves been beaten, raped and sold into sex slavery by men. Can you have some compassion and use your sarcasm in more appropriate situations? Think of what desperate measures you might take if you were in their shoes; if it was your mother or sister that disappeared and had their life stolen.

This is fantastic. I admire these women and there is no shame or irony in learning violent tactics from a man to protect themselves from further outrage. Their radicalism is the kind of thing that pushes mainstream dialogue forward.

Although I generally ignore dumbasses, guns do not provide the mental force that hand-to-hand training does. Resisting the kind of insane oppression these women face no doubt requires all the mental and emotional fortitude they can muster. It is not an easy path they walk, but one of heroines.

I think this is a fantastic thing,  I wish I could join them,  they have my admiration.

We are in the 21st century, not in ancient Greece. It’s good that they learn martial art, but those weapons change the color of this training, it’s like they’re preparing for war. Amazons??? Those, at least, had excuisit bodies, but these are a bunch of crazy women who had some traumatas in their lives provoqued by some morons and now they are playing ninja with scytes and axes. Like this is what the world needs: war between sexes. You had a traumatizing experience, you go to a psycologist and get over it (although, for some women, this is impossible), but they shouldn’t turn to this kind of anti-men moving. More exactly, why are you trainning? It’s not like you could go and decapitate those ass-holes that hurt you? One more question: do each of you plan to get over your trauma and star a relation with a man at some point?
I don’t know if my questions will be answered, but violence is not the solution, or transforming yourselves in some kind of warrior princesses, for that matter.

To all those who have NEVER been subjected to Rape, Domestic Violence in its many forms or seeing your mothers or sisters being beaten senseless and then raped or taken away to an unknown fate….. may your words that lack compassion come back to you three fold to teach you what it is like to suffer the way many women and young girls in this world suffer DAILY.

Girls as YOUNG as SIX MONTHS of age are raped and torn apart, some die.. others ‘live’.
Young girls are beaten and raped to be sold daily as sex slaves when they should be able to still play with dolls.
Some young girls are thrown out to the streets to beg for money and when they don’t make enough, they are disfigured, many horrifically by acid and the like. Some are then discarded like rubbish.
These are facts… do your homework, you will find them.
Learn to see from the point of view - though you will NEVER truly understand what it is like to have this done to you - of these girls, how DESPERATE they are to CHANGE what has gone on for CENTURIES in their cultures.
Maybe, just maybe one day when you hear “I couldn’t scrub myself clean enough” you might have a little insight into what that person was talking about.
Those who have commented with little regard for what has gone on for centuries and MUST now be STOPPED, for your words and attitude, may you learn three times three what it is like to be one of these women.

It’s hard to say if all these females have ever been subjected to abuse, but it’s great that they are getting prepared in mind, and body to prevent it.

I am all for “female empowerment”, and I can’t really see any harmful effects from them belonging to this group.  It’s more like a sisterhood than an “Amazon tribe” in my humble opinion.

These young women can go out into the world and not be victims but masters of their lives.  Their nature is to be guardians, and protectors and maybe training to become bodyguards would be an ideal career path for any of these girls.
