New work from Jeff Koons will be on display at the Gagosian Gallery in Beverly Hills from Nov. 14 through Jan. 9, 2010. The gallery?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s website indicates that the show might be something of a departure for Koons, moving away from his trademark takes on banality, familiar objects and glossy surface textures toward work less literal than his past oeuvre, and more abstract and painterly. Still, when the brush strokes are described as ?¢‚Ǩ?ìphotorealistic in their application?¢‚Ǩ¬ù yet ?¢‚Ǩ?ìactually fake brush strokes in the style of Roy Lichtenstein,?¢‚Ǩ¬ù we can be sure we?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢re talking about the same Jeff Koons.

Mac says:

Once again the master of verbal and visual bullshit pawns his junk on a eager public uneducated enough to think this is worth viewing. With his name and hype, most of this crapola will, however, be a good financial investment.
