Here’s one of the lessons I plan on imparting, someday, to my kids: stay away from Lovecraft! Or at least until they’re 13. Should children below that age really be entertaining thoughts of an Old One invasion? Well, animator Zachary Murray says “yes” (or whatever passes for an affirmative on Vhoorl). His following short (approved, mind you, by the department of child-developmental psychology at Miskatonic University) seeks to awaken the wee ones to Cthulhu‘s call:
Both unfunny & uncharming. Unappealing faux-naive pseudo-japanifed art, poor animation (There is a real ART to limited animation, this is just shite), nauseating narration & boxy vocal recording.
It looks like somebody-who-owns-software-and-has-convinced-themselves-that-they’re-creative has put it together.
Go and have some new ideas instead of attempting cash in on the current Cthulu fad.
Cheers.

“Their souls make his tummy happy” is a funny line.
this isn’t the media event of the ages. but darko’s comment is much more annoying than necessary . It looks like somebody-who-owns-a-computer-and-has-convinced-themselves-that-their-opinions-matter has put it together.

And your comment about my comment is even more annoyinger. That makes you the most annoyingest. By far.
Now, do be a dear, shut your bum and go fix the tiling on that wood tile backdrop. That might make your claims of ‘expertly crafted’ a little easier to take seriously. Attention to detail, yeah?
I believe that children find things to read that interest them. Keep them interested in the hobbies and skills they love. My one son is a master chef the other a film producer, so eventually they find out. Just point them in another direction.
HAH! lil’ Cthulhu is awesome, even for cutesy Japanart. This has brightened my day considerably.

Funny nerfed primer for Lovecraft, made me smile, agree with Chris about the happy tummy line. Also agree with Talmadge. Darko, show us what you’ve created, then maybe you’ll get some respect for your criticism.
