Please retweet this and share on Facebook if you feel strongly about this issue. As someone living in California who has an individual policy with the evil Anthem Blue Cross—apparently my premiums are going to go up 44%—I do feel strongly that America needs a public option. Just like Canada and Australia and England and France, etc, etc, etc have!!! I haven’t been in a hospital since I was born and my health insurance is going to double? WTF?

That the richest nation on earth doesn’t have universal health care, but there can be hundreds of billions of dollars of taxpayers’ money used to bail out the fucking bankers—indeed to give them bonuses!—is a travesty. A cosmic joke on Americans, some of them so stupid they believe the Fox News version of this issue. Sad. I’m reminded of the Onion parody where the redneck says that no black president is going to pay for his dialysis.

Democrats, where there is a will there is a way to pass the public option. Why let the MINORITY rule? PUBLIC OPTION NOW!!

It’s no better in Maine where there are only two insurance companies available for individual policies.  TWO!  Anthem is one of them and they just asked for a 23% increase.  The truly irritating thing is that our Senator Snowe is vehemently opposed to the public option but I’ve never heard her say why or give an alternative plan.

good posting.from the perspective of someone who is ill and has been in and out of the hospital, and is trying desperately not to go back to one due the horror, money, fear .. this country has fucked over everybody, the poor without coverage, who need regular health care, the working, the middle class.I pay for insurance out of my pocket and due to my illness my payments are ghastly…

The chronic ill are being raped, abused by their insurance carriers, drug companies and can no longer afford their lives because of premiums and medication costs (include me in this) they basicly are telling us to hurry up and die faster…our lives are no longer cost efficient. Maybe the idea all along was to give corporate welfare to the drug companies and the Insurance carriers, cronies.. make it look like they are doing their best to solve a problem they have no intention of fixing, cause well the best solution is to let the weak, the poor die and reap as much profits from the rest.. just one of many ideas… I am sure they are all trying with good hearts, haha

I can’t believe anyone buys the lies anymore

I have witnessed so little compassion in the health care industry it is sad. yes I call it industry, rather than field for a reason.
