Here’s a collection of photos (which are for the most part new to me) of our beloved early 80’s Los Angeles punk rock heroes by one Vincent Ramirez.

I was born and raised in Los Angeles California, living mostly in the San Fernando Valley. My first exposure to punk rock came about in the late 1970?˘‚Ǩ‚Ѣs while walking into a local record store that I would frequent, Licorice Pizza. The Sex Pistols were playing over the PA at about volume 10. Little did I know what was about to transpire…documenting the Los Angeles Punk scene in all of its glorious moments, police violence, shows almost every night, Hong Kong Cafe, Godzilla’s, The Whisky a Go Go, The Starwood, Blackie’s, Cathay de Grande, The Vex, KROQ, Flipside, late night bus rides trying to get home at 3:AM, Black Flag, The Germs, etc etc…blah blah…you lived it 24/7. Enjoy!
