Meet the Hon. James David Manning, PhD, a minister and Internet broadcaster from the Harlem neighborhood of New York City who HATES President Barack “Hussein” Obama. I mean really hates him. Manning has called Obama a pimp, a “homo” crackhead and Hitler.

His favorite thing to call the President, however, is “the long-legged Mack Daddy.” Manning also hates Michelle Obama, has called her ugly, a slut and has even suggested she visit the same plastic surgeon as Michael Jackson. Manning’s Trinity of Hell is comprised of Obama, Oprah Winfrey and the Reverend Jeremiah Wright. It should probably come as no surprise that he’s been a guest on Sean Hannity’s Fox News and radio shows.

Manning is proud to call himself an extreme right winger and is beloved of birthers, survivalists, Obama haters, the NRA and other assorted wingnuts. On his five days a week, three hours per day talk show, which he co-produces with his wife, he does bizarre and extremely unfunny “mock interviews” with Fidel Castro, prays fervently for Bristol Palin and he even had “author” Lawrence W Sinclair (“Brother Lawrence” as Manning calls him) of Barack Obama & Larry Sinclair: Cocaine, Sex, Lies & Murder? infamy on as a guest.

Manning is nuttier than the proverbial fruitcake and there is no low he’s not tempted to reach for. Sound like anyone familiar? To my mind, Manning is the black Glenn Beck! Even more to the point, he’s like some weird, bizarro world hybrid of Beck and Uncle Ruckus from The Boondocks! I mean, wow, this guy shocked even me. I also laughed until I cried. Manning is so ridiculous that they need some new words to describe him, the old standbys just won’t do any more.

Wow, I was laughing hysterical through the whole clip, but when he started singing - I just lost it. That was one of the funniest videos i’ve seen in a while!

I have been sucked into his website ... I have to quit, I am going to go blind.

Now, really, how does what Dr. Manning says differ in kind from “birthers, survivalists, Obama haters, the NRA and other assorted wingnuts”?  But anyway, I also laughed and laughed.  Hyperbole, I hope, but there is a lot of truth in what he said, as we can now see in the grassroots Town Hall protests (grassroots - those are the ones with the home made signs).

Now now, let’s not call him doctor.  His PhD was awarded to him by the religious group that he runs, and is in no way supported by an accredited institution.  The furthest he seems to have gone was Master of Divinity.

Where were all of you when the Rev. Jeremiah Wright (Obama’s long time spiritual advisor/minister) video appeared? I didn’t hear any disparaging remarks against him? Only, “he has grown since then”...“it was taken out of context”—quit being hypocritical and call it both ways. That’s the deal with you guys; it’s your way or no way. How can we, as a nation, ever move forward if you see everything as absolutes. The fact of the matter is if you really looked of both sides of an issue and then formed an opinion that leads to true dialogue. You guys insist on an opinion based, not factual based monologue. If all of you are looking for a utopian society under the guise of Socialism, please do a little research and see what living under a socialist regime is like. Do you or your children really want to be a part of a socialist nation? Wake up and don?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢t drink the Kool-Aid!! Think for yourself!!

Actually, I’m Canadian.  I have never lived in the US, nor would I.  I find such an attitude as yours to be very narrow minded.  It shows a lack of empathy for those who are unable to work, who are sick and in need of help.  Socialism is simply a matter of having fellow feeling for the rest of humanity.

Socialism should not impede freedom, a caring society is a better place to live.

Wow…. Honest… Freedom of speech!  What!  Are we true Americans or What!  People from all cultures can see through this Evil that is trying to take over!  Please America… Pray and be true to yourself…Lets stand together and be strong!  We want our country back!  This man knows the future…  Lets come together and fight!  Its a free world.. In God we trust…  May God be with us all!

How very refreshing to see a black American stand up for his country.  I would but add one insight to his words re; diversity. 
Diversity is nothing new in this nation…it has been here since its founding fathers and the first wave of immigrants from other nations who assimilated into our nation by learning English and learning our American ways.  We desperately need to focus more on UNITY and our commonalities to bring understanding to our citizenry.  Though I am danged proud to be white. I see no need to go spouting off about my genealogy.  I AM AMERICAN period.  But I don’t wear t shirts with hyphenated genetic description, i.e. German-English-American.  America has its own specific culture.  For those of you who want to embrace another culture, I recommend re-location to that nation and leave US AMERICANS to enjoy our own culture.  Yes, Dr Manning, you are on target. That patriotic drive and fervor that built this country is coming alive.  We are sick and tired of the ingrates who stand in line with their paws out for more and more freebies and have the audacity to not even try to assimilate into our American culture.  It appears our generosity has created a society of spoiled ingrates at the expense of hard working Americans For those people who are so negatively critical about America,  highly recommend you find another nation where you would be much happier.  To quote another wise American, YOU ARE FREE TO LEAVE ANYTIME.  Thanks Dr. Manning for demonstrating the great American courage so many have died for.  Keep on keeping on!

One final piece of counsel, however.  For the most part, you are on target about the pulse of our great America.  BUTTT name calling does not indicate class or savvy.  Please try to rise above that and temper that part of your presentation. Please try to just stick to the facts at hand about the challenges and tragic conditions of our nation. I am hopefully inclined to believe there are many more wonderful black Americans who want to join hands with their white American brothers and sisters to see civility and prosperity restored. Right now, prayer is our only HOPE.  For unless we unite in hearts and spirits, black and white, our America as we love and know it is on the downhill slide to demise. 

At last check, this is the ONLY NATION where people are fighting to get into…NOT OUT OF.  That speaks for itself.

OH MY,  so many politically uninformed and politically uneducated people in our nation.  Electing lousy leaders is surefire proof of this.  Regardless of his ‘feeble Oratory skills’, his message was loud and clear and MANY support this very truthful message about the pulse of all good Americans, black and white, whatever the agenda.  It appears his words are either whistling thru ears who with selective/ defective hearing’ cannot hear or going over heads who ‘just don’t get it’!  Except for the personal name calling which I deem socially tacky and unnecessary amongst educated people, his message was LOUD AND CLEAR.  I point out here a previous commentor.  Why was there not as much uproar over Wright cursing America in church instigating hate between our people.  If this is an indicator of what is going on in other black churches, this is very alarming.  I reiterate for special emphasis…It is not our differences that make our America great…it is our commonalities and desires to live harmoniously and to reach out to all in need of the necessities of life.  I cite my keen observations that every time there is a world disaster…we are the first on the scene.  Yet, when we have disasters in America, I have yet to note any other country coming to our aid.  Golly thatsa no brainer about the American spirit of generosity so unique to ONLY AMERICA and why the jealousy of other countries give birth to so much hatred and war against us.
No, I am not veering off the initial subject of Dr.Manning. He merely represents the American spirit…especially in these times of demise of our nation.  If you take the time to ‘critique’ people, it would be advisable that you use your commonsense (if any) and take the time to read on their background FIRST. Try to bear in mind we all have skeletons and flaws, no matter our station in life.. BOTTOMLINE we need to learn to discern the BOTTOMLINE.

I take it, then, that we will be moving into a predominantly black neighborhood since you can really save on rent in those places; and there’s nothing wrong with the people, after all, I mean, yer not raysist, now are ya. Save a bundle by dropping out of college; after all, anyone can afford to live in the ghetto. Those areas have more character than the average subdivision, anyway. The big historical homes, the city scapes, etc. Wait, you’re not going to college to avoid ending up there, are ya? I mean, that would be, gulp, rayyyssssissst.

One sure way to end up on the ends of pitch forks wielded by self important hot headed villagers: be honest.

Bottom Line: Is Mr. Manning supposed to be a Christian? Does he speak in a Christ-like way? We should be hearing TRUTH, COMPASSION, FORGIVENESS, JUSTICE, MERCY, VIRTUE, SELF-CONTROL. When Jesus returns is He going to say to Mr. Manning (or Jeremiah Wright or any of us), “Thanks for using you time to tell the world about ‘the steamy love affair in the back of a limosine’ ” or will He say “thanks for telling the world about My return and helping people prepare for Heaven”?

Taking the Lord’s name in vain also includes calling yourself a CHRISTian and acting like something totally opposite.

Oh, Ronster, I totally agree with you.  As you will note, I addressed my disdain for the ugly name calling…just not acceptable.  Sadly though, Mr. Manning shares many sentiments of many.  But he is also very close to being a charter member of the Fraternity of Hate Leaders in our nation, i.e. SHARPTON, JACKSON to name a few.
The real tragedy is that none of them are sincerely out to bring unity to our people…just continuing to divide us instead of bringing us together as a rainbow of the people who enjoy our land…while lining their pockets with lotsa money which is notably most greedy and self centered and not the genuine traits of real leaders of peace.  No, I am not see sawing here.  I still feel much of what he said is true about the ‘current underlying pulse’ of our people, black and white.  Soooo scary for all of us!

But, Jesus also said it would be better to be thrown into the sea with a millstone around one’s neck than to lead one little one astray. He also said he came with a sword to divide the wheat from the chaff. He also said that if you lust in your heart, it’s the same as actually acting on it. All this assumes Jesus was non-fiction, of course.

The solution to this issue eludes us because middle smart people are forever basing their judgement on their feelings. They figure that being passionate about “righteousness” makes them insightful and “the smart ones”... and then make the mistake of proceeding from feelings, since that feeling couldn’t possibly be wrong. It’s macro-mindedness. “Me not racist, me good and right in all ways. End of story. Me hero when play race card. Me judge from quiet and safety of upscale neighborhood…” Well, no. Life is more complicated than that, alas. Life is more awkward and difficult than that. 

For the time being, as a society, we’re *managing* the situation… but, it’s going to get worse because the actual issue is one no one wants to address with a 12 foot pole. Yeah, well, let our grand children deal with it; right!?

This guy might sound nutty to a group that doesn’t want to admit there’s a potential response from society of historic proportion and reverence that might happen. But, he’s trying to tell you that white people aren’t going to put up with this stuff too much longer. I would at least give him the benefit of the doubt and ask yourself if you would put up with it.

I don’t know anything about that Sinclaire stuff near the end, but it doesn’t really matter. No one cares about that, they care about all the stuff he mentioned earlier.

All the white folks I know are decent folks that don’t want anything but peace and tranquility. They only get worked up when they see a injustice, directed at anyone, including themselves. They generally won’t start anything, but they will finish it if they are compelled. Most black folks act like there is something wrong with white people. There isn’t anything wrong with them. They just want to be left alone to worship as they would like and have their families. They didn’t do anything wrong to you and they sure don’t deserve to be treated the way a lot of black folks feel they ought to be treated.
